OVERALL: *giggle* I laughed, I smiled, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Hubby liked it too. It is silly good fun.

POINTS: It was pure silly fun. Plus I loved how the relationship between the two lead characters grew and changed. It felt plausible and I did giggle the whole time.

PITFALLS: Where’s my sequel?

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Obviously and yes! We have policewoman Cooper played by Reese Witherspoon and Daniella Riva played by Sofía Vergara.

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Actually the movie liked poking fun at cultural stereotypes and that was very enjoyable.

HIGH POINT(S):

1.) Not only do we have a buddy comedy with two women, it was also DIRECTED by a woman: Anne Fletcher. This always makes me extra happy.

2.) Whitherspoon and Vergara. Well done ladies, well done. Now when are you making the sequel?

BECHDEL TEST (Website): 3 of 3. Obviously. It was good. 🙂

RACIAL BECHDEL TEST (Website): 3 if 3. Yes! Cool.
