INTRODUCTION: A few days ago Hubby went looking for our DVD of Hoodwinked! When we couldn’t find it I bought another copy immediately. Yeah, we like it that much.
OVERALL: This will make you laugh or at least smile until your face hurts. Oh and it is a musical with fun toe-tapping music that Hubby and I still sing at each other in a regular basis.
POINTS: Humor, action, plot twists, fun characters, and cool animation. What more could you want?
PITFALLS: Not long enough. 🙂 And yeah, that is a silly review ’cause obviously I liked it so much I wanted more. Leaving the audience hungry is good.
FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Red (Anne Hathaway) and Granny (Glenn Close)! Both are fun characters, defy stereotypes, and have some fun scenes together. I love both of them.
CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Hmmm…. well… I’ll let ya’ know.
HIGH POINT(S): Humor. There is so much humor and fun in this movie I don’t know where to begin. Just watch it and enjoy!
BECHDEL TEST (Website): 3 of 3. Red and Granny have good talks.
RACIAL BECHDEL TEST (Website): 3 of 3! Well OMG! Though the characters are all animals at least two actors are African-American. 🙂
