The Ant-Man and the Wasp

OVERALL: Just go see it.

POINTS: Seamlessly made, laughter, drama, plot development that furthers the MCU. And of course Ant-Man and Wasp. Just joy.

PITFALLS: I don’t have a DVD of it. I want to watch it again now.

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Yes! Titular character Hope Van Dyne played by Evangeline Lilly is just perfect. She is a wonderful lead and action hero. I thoroughly enjoy everything she does. Then there’s Janet Van Dyne – the first Wasp and mom of hope played by Michelle Pfeiffer – OMG!! What fun to see this actress carry her scenes so well. Plus we have Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost. Wow. I knew she rocked the small screen in Killjoys, now I know she rocks the big screen as well. 

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Nope. Lots of PoC, cool women and men, humor, ages, and awareness about mistreating released prisoners. So no problems; All good.

HIGH POINT(S):

1.) Janet being channeled through Scott. Yup, it is that ridiculous. And sweet.

2.) The ants. Just like big ants. Too much fun. And tiny ants. And just ants!!!

3.) Oh just everybody!!!! I loved the characters so much – even the villains. I want to spend more time with them.
