OVERALL: Wow. Just wow.

POINTS: Fabulous acting. Oh well done Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker.   Special hats off to Amy Adams. She carried the movie, letting the audience see everything through her eyes. She’s also the one who first figures out the mystery.

I think that I have heard that this was an adult first contact movie. Indeed, I must agree. It was lovely to have a first contact movie be about COMMUNICATION. Such a relief!! I also was proud of myself for figuring out the “mystery” in the communication between the species. I thought it was very cool.

This was basically a movie about love. 🙂

PITFALLS: Nope.

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Amy Adams as Dr. Louise Banks. She was wonderful!!!!

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Hmmm…. Don’t know.

HIGH POINT(S): The whole darn thing. I was captivated the entire time.
