Kong: Skull Island

OVERALL: My first reaction when the credits finished “This movie should not have been this good!” Hubby looked at me and said “Apocachimp Now!” This movie was magnificent!!! Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts I salute you!

All Hail The King! indeed!

POINTS: Wow! The whole thing from beginning to end was GOOD.  I remember watching an interview of Tom Hiddleston before the movie came out saying that the script was good. I thought “Huh?” He was right!

PITFALLS: Hmm…. I’ll let ya’ know.

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Yes! We have Brie Larson as photojournalist is Mason Weaver. Such a cool character. 🙂 She was smart and compassionate and I liked her a lot. Then we have Tian Jing as San who, OMG, amounts to way more in the movie than previously thought! We almost got a full scene between the two. They were never presented or treated as weak or the “other.” Well done. 

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Movie pretty much avoided them. Very cool.

HIGH POINT(S): This movie was MAGNIFICENT! Just watch it and see.
