TV Review: “The Expanse”

The Expanse

OVERALL: I have no idea what is going on and I never miss an episode. It is that good. Hubby and I love to watch it. I think I’m beginning to understand. Oh who cares! Check out this show!

I’m looking forward to season 2.

POINTS: Cool characters, sets, writing, plot. Again I don’t always know what is going on, but I sure do enjoy it.

PITFALLS: Well I think the writers/producers are not so good at explanations of world/story. I do wish I knew the world of the story better. Then again since it comes from a series of books, it is not surprising that staff know the world way better than I do and don’t explain everything. Note however that I am still watching and will for as long as it is on! 😉

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Women in this show are cool. Shohreh Aghdashloo (no I can’t say her name and one day I hope to) is amazing as a politician who is talking and walking a fine line. We are not sure what that fine line is, but her morals seem to be deeper than imagined in the first episodes.

Then we also have Athena Karkanis as Octavia Muss, Lola Glaudini as Captain Shaddid and other interesting women throughout the show. It is just worth watching.

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Hmmm….. I’ll let you know.

HIGH POINT(S): OMG it has Shohreh Aghdashloo and I would watch anything with her! Plus way to go Thomas Jane. Doing a great job in your role sir. And rocking that new haircut.
