Heroes Reborn

OVERALL: Cool. I like it better than the original. It feels like they combined the X-Men comics and Sense8. So fun.

POINTS: This show makes one very tense due to the treatment of our heroes, aka the evos, evolved humans. Evos are treated like the mutants in the X-Men. So I do tend to yell at the tv* at least once during every show “Don’t you people read comic books?!” It’s just cool. And fun. And tense. It has elements of spy thriller mixed with superhero story and I like it.

PITFALLS: I would love for someone to reference the X-Men but hey, they probably can’t. Other than that, well nope, no pitfalls yet.

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): There is a nice selection of female characters with a variety of motives, skills, and personalities. I think my  favorite is Miko played by Kiki Sukezane. I think I like her so much because she is more than a two dimensional sex object which I wondered if she would be. Nope. She is fun and has some very humorous moments.

I would like to spend more time with the female characters so go for it Heroes Reborn!

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): I would like to see a wider range of age in this show but then again, I can see where the majority of the evos being “born” would be young. Though it would be fun to see a senior citizen get powers…. Not really a pitfall.

HIGH POINT(S): Being inside the computer game and the gaming references make it for me.

DVD/BLU-RAY WORTHY: Yup. In fact I think I like this better than the original.
