OVERALL: Wow. Combine Hungers Games with 1984, blend in equal parts Children of Men and voila! You have The Lottery. Oh yeah.
POINTS: Fasten your seat belts, boys and girls, ’cause it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. If you love science fiction and/or dystopian futures and/or government conspiracies within the government then you are gonna LOVE this show. Whoa.
PITFALLS: Hmmmm…… I’ll let ya’ know.
FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Yes yes yes. This show could fall into showing only women who want to have children. But nope. We see lots of women and many ages. Hooray! Now yes those who are interested in having children are young and pretty and that is even commented on! Oh just squee.
CULTURAL PITFALL(S): See Female Characters above. Well done show! Oh and I wouldn’t be surprised if the show eventually slipped in some Handmaid’s Tale in the future to scare us even more.
HIGH POINT(S): I think I would love this show for the government conspiracies alone. I like that not everyone in the federal government knows what everyone else is doing. And frankly how can they? I get tired of people fearing the government when frankly it is the people in the government that worry me.
BECHDEL TEST (Website): 2 of 3 or 3 of 3 depending on the episode. Oh and women talk about all kinds of things with other women in this show including science, conspiracies, and even babies.
RACIAL BECHDEL TEST (Website): 1 of 3. Hmm… this could and hopefully will be improved.
IMDB: The Lottery (TV Series – 2014)

DVD/BLU-RAY WORTHY: I could see this.
LION PAW PRINTS: 3 of 5. Oh have fun.
