Some things are classic. DaVinci’s Mona Lisa, the Bill of Rights, and a performer’s ability to be well, greater than others. I think people call that “star power” and/or “charisma.” Cher has it in spades.
Some will say Diva. I just say Star. She makes you feel like you in your living room and she is performing just for you. Her voice is amazing and powerful; her costumes are pure Cher; the staging is gorgeous; basically watching Cher in her element – the stage in a big arena – is like watching a cross between Broadway/Cirque du Soleil/variety show. In short, you are never bored and are frequently breathless.
I went because my buddy LB and her buddy Br, LOVE CHER! I am so glad I went. I loved every second of it. And I am still, three days later, bowing the star power and stage craft of the one and only Cher.
Long may she reign!
So go see Cher’s Dressed to Kill Tour and Enjoy! Oh and some Dressed to Kill costume photos for your enjoyment.
PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! Pat Benatar!
Pat Benatar and hubby/guitarist/partner Neil Giraldo opened for Cher. I did not know I would see Pat until the day before the show. Now understand: I LOVE PAT BENATAR! Good grief I have most of her albums on vinyl. I love, love, love her because she kicked butt and took names on the Rock’n’Roll stage like very few before her. She was a woman hard rocker who put most of her peers – male and female – to vocal shame. To say the woman has pipes is a huge understatement. So not only did I love watching Cher, I got to send some concert love to Pat too.
What a great night!!!
