Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

OVERALL: Yes, yes a thousand times yes!!! I can’t wait to buy it and saw it three times in the theater. It is a near perfect movie.

POINTS: We are back in the Wizarding World and we are on my home turf the USA!! Plus, being a Potter fan I loved see the past as I could then tie the threads together of how it would work in Harry’s time. Rowling should continue to write LOTS more movies/books/screenplays/whatever about the Wizarding World ’cause I love to read/see/hear it all!!!!

PITFALLS: There was one wonky edit toward the end but eh.

FEMALE CHARACTER(S): They were fun and well rounded. Our sisters Tina (Katherine Waterston) and Queenie (Alison Sudol) are a delightful pair that prove to be more than their tropes. 🙂 I like how the two play off of and support each other. Then we have President of the American Wizarding World Seraphina Picquery played Carmen Ejogo so YAY!!!!

I also liked how there were many wizards and witches of color in the movie. I thought that the US magical world was by far more evolved than the muggle world at the time and that made me happy for those who could be in the muggle world. And annoyed ’cause oh good grief.

CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Hmmm…… Thoughts?

HIGH POINT(S): All of it. I love being back in Rowling’s magical world. Although the niffler in the jewelry store is a favorite of mine and my Hubby’s. Plus the niffler made the same expressions as my dog Daisy. That made me extra happy.
