OVERALL: 🙂 Go, drink deep, and enjoy. It was worth it. Plus whatever criticisms I have are there because I want MORE! And wanting more is never negative. 🙂 *sigh* I am very happy.
POINTS: It’s the Avengers people. Acting as one awesome unit. 🙂 It is a logical successor to Avengers and I will be seeing it again and again.
PITFALLS: Needed to be longer. Can’t wait for the 3.5 hour version on DVD!!! Suffered from “sequelitis” which means the scenes were shorter and you didn’t get as much character interaction. Which let’s face it, is what we all want to see. It also means that scene transitions weren’t smooth in a few places. However sequelitis did not ruin this movie. I enjoyed every second. 🙂 I want more!
FEMALE CHARACTER(S): Love you Black Widow. Too bad you had to do so much stereotypical heroine stuff *SPOILERS* like fall in love and be a love interest and get captured *END SPOILERS* Then again, you also kicked butt and were the hero all the way through. Go you.
Plus you had many sisters joining you: Maria Hill, Scarlet Witch, Dr. Helen Cho, and even Peggy Carter brought their awesome. Pepper Potts and Dr. Jane Foster were saluted. It was good! 🙂 Thanks Joss.
CULTURAL PITFALL(S): Hmmmmmmmmmmmm…………
HIGH POINT(S): Just seeing the Avengers together again as a team. And then a whole bunch of great moments that are spoilers so I won’t say. Also seeing this movie wrapped up an adventure in my life – Avengerville – and that was very satisfying. Note: It was one year ago today as I write this review that Hubby and I were on the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron. I’m wearing the same outfit and jewelry. I’m happy.
BECHDEL TEST (Website): 3 of 3. 🙂 YAY!
RACIAL BECHDEL TEST (Website): 2 of 3. I can’t wait to see War Machine and Falcon in scenes together in the future!
